This role reports directly to the Assistant Head of School for Strategy and Operations and will serve as a key innovator and designer in the advancement of the school's technological capabilities.
The Chief Technology Officer will lead the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of all technology initiatives across our campuses.
This position requires a forward-thinking leader with a robust technical background and a genuine enthusiasm for utilizing technology to improve educational and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the institution's mission and objectives.
- Oversee the management and upkeep of all technological infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
- Build and guide a high-performing technology team.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to effectively integrate technology into the curriculum and administrative functions.
- Manage technology budgets, procure necessary hardware and software, and negotiate vendor contracts.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of institutional data and systems.
- Stay informed about emerging technology trends and best practices in the industry.
- Provide technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students.
- Oversee technology projects from conception to execution.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Manage the Google Workspace environment, including user management, security, and compliance.
- Oversee vendor partnerships and evaluate the performance of managed services.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a technology leadership position within an educational context.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a technical team effectively.
- Strong knowledge of educational technology trends and best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving skills in complex technical scenarios.
- Experience in building, managing, and motivating teams.
