About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to join our team at The J.M. Smucker Co. as a Technical Operations Manager. This key role will be responsible for leading our maintenance operations and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the maintenance team to deliver business objectives, prioritizing employee safety, product quality, and productivity.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, including work development, planning, and scheduling.
  • Manage and maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to optimize maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a budget for maintenance operations and ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Lead and execute capital projects to upgrade and maintain plant facilities and equipment.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure maintenance performance.
  • Participate in and lead improvement teams to drive targeted improvements and meet business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performance work culture and systems.
  • Represent the site to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and regulatory representatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance leadership, with a proven track record of delivering business objectives.
  • Strong technical and mechanical skills, with experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Experience with CMMS and project management software.
  • Ability to work effectively across organization boundaries and with diverse teams.
