As a Day Shift Delivery Vehicle Driver, your responsibilities will include:

  • Fostering a culture of ethical behavior, safety, and compliance
  • Protecting company assets, including donated items
  • Keeping accurate records such as Vehicle Logs and daily Trip Sheets
  • Providing basic oversight for assigned Truck Helpers
  • Reporting mechanical issues with vehicles
  • Communicating any delays, accidents, or transportation issues to headquarters
  • Loading and unloading vehicles, containers, and trailers
  • Maintaining effective communication with headquarters
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles
  • Inspecting truck equipment and supplies (tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water)
  • Performing additional duties as required by business needs

We provide an excellent training program to equip you with the skills needed to succeed as a Truck Operator. However, certain skills are beneficial from the start:

  • Effective communication, including the use of positive language with colleagues
  • Attention to detail while managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively

We prioritize a supportive work environment and expect the following:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
  • Valid CDL License
  • Minimum age of 25 years
  • 6 to 12 months of commercial truck driving experience
  • Valid Driver's License (Class C) with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to read and comprehend operating and safety instructions
  • Proficiency in using a dolly, pallet jack, and lift gate
  • Flexibility in work schedule and regular attendance is essential
  • Availability to work weekends
