About the Role

The AV Sales and Design Specialist will be responsible for driving sales and designing custom AV solutions that meet our clients' needs. This role requires a deep understanding of AV technology, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to build relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Client Relations:
    • Work with VLCM account managers to identify and pursue new AV business opportunities.
    • Conduct calls and site visits to assess client needs and provide tailored AV solutions.
    • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and sales contracts.
    • Work with VLCM account managers to negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Design and Consultation:
    • Work closely with clients to understand their AV requirements and preferences.
    • Design custom AV systems, including audio, video, lighting, and control systems.
    • Collaborate with the technical and project management team to create detailed project plans and timelines.
    • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the design and installation process.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in AV sales and design, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of AV systems, components, and installation processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Proficiency in design & quoting software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certification in AV design or a related field (e.g., CTS, CEDIA, etc.).
    • Experience working in commercial AV markets.
    • Minimum of five years successfully selling in a business to business environment.
