Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic Urology practice. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, adapt quickly to new responsibilities, and work autonomously. Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing general administrative tasks such as faxing, answering phone calls, and returning patient inquiries.
  • Coordinating the scheduling of tests, treatments, and procedures.
  • Escorting patients to examination and procedure rooms, assisting with mobility, dressing, specimen collection, and preparation for examinations.
  • Gathering patient medical histories, taking vital signs, and conducting screenings as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Supporting clinical staff during procedures.
  • Maintaining treatment areas to ensure they are safe, organized, clean, and equipped with necessary supplies. Preparing rooms for subsequent examinations.
  • Providing information and instructions to patients and their families.
  • Managing physician and patient scheduling through phone assistance.
  • Handling the transmission of patient medical records and information.
  • Acquiring lab and x-ray reports, hospital notes, and referral documentation.
  • Completing necessary forms and requisitions, while managing patient charts to ensure comprehensive information.
  • Conducting quality control measures.
  • Promoting high standards of patient care and customer satisfaction.
  • Executing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; some college education is preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Experience in Urology is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Phlebotomy experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Additional Information
  • This position has the potential to transition into a full-time role in the future.
  • Part-time positions do not include employee benefits.
  • A background check will be conducted.
