Job Summary

Chenega MIOS SBU is seeking a highly skilled Locksmith II - Secure Access Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for managing locks and keys, installing, and repairing locks and locking devices, as well as servicing, installing, and repairing secure GSA containers, vaults, and cabinets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lock and Key Management: Manage locks and keys, including installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of locks and locking devices.
  • Secure Access Systems: Service, install, and repair secure GSA containers, vaults, and cabinets, including Kaba Mas, Lockmaster, and Sargent & Greenleaf products.
  • Key Duplication and Code Key Machines: Use and calibrate key duplicating and code key machines to create new keys from duplications, impressions, and key codes.
  • Master Key Systems: Create and implement master key systems to ensure secure access to sensitive areas.
  • Lock Installation and Repair: Install and repair various types of locks, including high-security locks, combination locks, and pin tumbler locking systems.
  • Security Clearance: Maintain Top Secret security clearance and adhere to all security protocols and procedures.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Effectively communicate with team members and management to ensure smooth operation of security systems and protocols.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in any field of study and 3-5 years of experience working in a security function directly related to the discipline required.
  • Security Clearance: Top Secret security clearance.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of locksmith terminology, Federal Government and industry lock terminology, and GSA-approved locks.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment, as well as knowledge of various computer software applications, including MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
