Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers and documents direct patient care to assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Nursing care is guided by physician orders and the established nursing plan of care. The RN reports on the patient's response to care, enabling evaluation, intervention, and modification of the plan as needed. They accurately and promptly document patient services to reflect the implemented care plan.

The RN assists physicians and other nursing personnel in performing various diagnostic procedures. Additionally, they provide appropriate pain/symptom management and evaluate the patient's response to treatments and medications. The RN performs the functions outlined above within their assigned patient load but is prepared and willing to assist colleagues with any nursing support function across all caseloads, including those outside their primary work assignment.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate's degree (ASN) in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's degree (BSN) in Nursing preferred.

Experience

  • Previous experience in an acute care setting or long-term healthcare facility is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Current South Carolina (or compact state) licensure as RN (SCLLR) in good standing required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
