Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the efficient management of plant activities, utilizing tesa's KPIs to drive continuous improvement and optimize production processes.
  • Financial Management: Manage a budget totaling over $35 million annually, including fixed, material, and capital expenditures, to ensure the company's financial goals are met.
  • Leadership and Development: Lead and develop a team of staff members, aligning them with corporate standards to achieve company objectives collaboratively.
  • Manufacturing Operations: Oversee the production process, ensuring compliance with tesa policies and procedures for risk mitigation, including production, safety, quality, and environmental rules.
  • Customer Focus: Address escalated customer questions and concerns, maintaining continuous contact with the marketing and sales organization to ensure market needs are met by production.
  • Continuous Improvement: Establish proper organization and staffing, with staff members receiving thorough training, motivation, and direction according to corporate standards, policies, and principles.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business (engineering or a related field).
  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in manufacturing operations management.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to work in a global, compliant corporate environment; strong skill set in areas of time management, self-organizational, and project management; proficiency in MS Office applications; prior use of ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred); ISO/TS 16949 knowledge (preferred); experience in 5S methodology and 6-sigma methodology (preferred).
  • Travel: Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
