About the Role:

Teresian House is seeking a skilled Maintenance Tech to join our team. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, inspecting rooms, and completing repair work. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and complete necessary repairs in a timely manner\
  • Maintain tools and supplies necessary for job duties\
  • Clean heating/air conditioning unit filters, clothes dryer vents, and ceiling vents\
  • Perform simple electrical repairs, such as replacing bulbs and fixtures\
  • Assist with seasonal work, including snow removal and parking lot salting\
  • Work independently with minimal supervision\
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless facility operations\
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities\
  • Meet productivity and quality standards\
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures\
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues\
  • Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork and collaboration\
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times\
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations\
  • Complete assigned tasks and projects within established deadlines\
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to job duties\

  • Requirements: \ * High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred \ * At least one year of experience in maintenance or a related field \ * Ability to lift over 30 pounds routinely \ * Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays \ * Strong communication and interpersonal skills \ * Basic knowledge of building codes and safety protocols \ * Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems efficiently \ * Familiarity with HVAC systems and basic electrical repairs \ * Previous experience working with the elderly or in a healthcare setting highly desirable \ * Certification in a relevant trade (e.g., plumbing, electrical) a plus \ * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation \ * First aid/CPR certification \ * Other requirements may apply based on location and department needs\
