About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Banquet Cook to join our team at Boise Centre. As a Banquet Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to exact standards, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare exceptional cuisine, skillfully cooking menu items to exact standards.
  • Maintain a top-notch kitchen, keeping your station clean, organized, and efficient.
  • Be a team player, assisting fellow cooks and kitchen staff in achieving seamless service during events.
  • Learn and grow, staying on top of food trends and bringing creative ideas to enhance our culinary offerings.
  • Support training efforts, helping to train new and existing kitchen staff in techniques and kitchen best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience matters: at least 2 years of experience in a professional culinary setting.
  • Certifications: must be ready to obtain an Idaho Food Handlers Permit or already hold a ServSafe certification.
  • Culinary skills: strong knife skills, familiarity with kitchen equipment, and a deep understanding of food safety in high-volume environments.
  • Team-oriented: excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent service in a collaborative setting.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, handle kitchen equipment safely, and withstand hot and busy kitchen conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
