Position Overview: Certified Nursing Aides assist in delivering essential support to residents under the guidance of nursing staff. They engage in both direct and indirect care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and contribute to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday during the training period (approximately 4-6 weeks). After training, a commitment to work every other weekend is required.

Indirect Care Responsibilities:
  • Assist with homemaking duties as necessary.
  • Respond promptly to resident call lights.
  • Ensure residents have access to their personal items.
  • Serve and collect meal trays, assist during mealtimes, and maintain cleanliness of dining areas.
  • Support residents in using technology for communication.
  • Monitor residents in communal areas to ensure safety, providing one-on-one supervision as needed.
  • Assist with resident admissions and discharges, including inventory of personal belongings.
  • Gather necessary supplies for care provision.
  • Make unoccupied beds.
  • Encourage resident participation in activities of their choice.
  • Assist with assigned housekeeping tasks.
  • Perform other indirect care duties as directed.
Direct Care Responsibilities:
  • Primarily perform designated CNA tasks post-training.
  • Assist residents during meals who are not at risk for aspiration.
  • Provide in-bed care for residents who can reposition themselves.
  • Make occupied beds.
  • Administer full or partial bed baths.
  • Support residents with dressing and personal hygiene.
  • Assist CNAs with residents requiring two-person assistance, except during mechanical transfers.
  • Help with weight measurements.
  • Carry out all other CNA tasks after training.
  • Execute additional direct care duties as assigned.
