Job Description

Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a contract assignment in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care (LTC) setting.

Job Requirements
  • Must have earned an Associate's degree from an accredited school or a certificate from a community, technical, or vocational college.
  • Current state license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant/COTA or actively pursuing licensure.
  • Current CPR certification.

The Occupational Therapist Assistant/COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients with physical, emotional, mental, or developmental impairments.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan developed in collaboration with an Occupational Therapist.
  • Assess the learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers regarding age, level of understanding, and emotional status.
  • Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation, and monitoring of patient progress.
  • Effectively collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
