Job Title: Field Superintendent
Job Summary:
The Field Superintendent will oversee the day-to-day activities of the mechanical construction team, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with subcontractors and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate day-to-day activities with other Superintendents, mechanical subcontractors, and discipline-specific subcontractors.
- Supervise field performance of subcontractors and craft employees.
- Develop, maintain, and adjust project schedules as necessary.
- Implement Hoffman's QA/QC program in subcontractor planning sessions and field management.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 7 years of Mechanical construction experience is required.
- Experience with Process Cooling Water, Hydronics, Industrial Water, Waste Water Treatment, and Compressed Air Systems preferred.
- Experience with high-purity chemicals and gases is preferred.
- Extensive experience on large industrial and hi-tech fabrication projects preferred.
- OHSA 30 Certification.
- High School diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent field work experience preferred.
- Education background in materials and methods of mechanical construction.
Working Conditions:
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; reading printed and digital documents. Must be able to work in proximity to loud equipment more than 75% of the time. Must be able to wear hearing protection as necessary. Often required to communicate with customers and coworkers in an office setting and on the job site.
