Nurse Educator Critical Care Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Educator - Critical Care Specialist to join our team. This role involves implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and participating in the development of nursing educational programs, including nursing orientation programs, and other developmental activities in an assigned health care setting.
The successful candidate will conduct training and ongoing competency assessment to align nursing educational opportunities with health care setting goals, operational standards, and educational priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate nursing educational programs and activities for an assigned health care setting; provide continuous education and training to nursing staff; and assess educational needs of staff.
- Participate in planning and conducting nursing staff development programs.
- Plan, organize, coordinate and evaluate in-service nursing orientation; maintain a system of records of in-service orientation, staff development, and educational activities; and monitor and submit all other mandatory work and regulatory reports.
- Identify and collect information related to learning needs and collaborate with members of multiple disciplines in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of effective nursing education and training programs; serve as a resource for all nursing educational inquiries and issues.
- Conduct program evaluations that measure learning impact and outcomes against strategic goals and objectives of the health care setting to enhance the effectiveness of clinical care and employee performance.
To be considered for this role, you must have a valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. A Master's Degree in Nursing or a related nursing or education field from an accredited college or university is also required.
Additionally, you must have three years of experience as a registered nurse in specialty area(s), including at least one year providing nursing education and training in specialty area(s). Certification as a Nurse Educator is preferred but not required.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $90,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location of the hospital.
