Career Opportunity: Cross Country Nurses seeks an experienced Intensive Care Nurse to join our team in the labor and delivery department. As a specialist in this field, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of women and newborns during one of the most critical periods of their lives.
About the Job: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate nurse to provide care for patients undergoing childbirth, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stages. Your expertise will be invaluable in coaching women throughout the birthing process, monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and managing potential complications that may arise. In addition, you may be called upon to assist in caesarian sections and provide education and guidance to new mothers in regard to recovery and caring for their infants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care, focusing on the unique needs of each individual
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
- Develop and implement effective plans of care to address the physical and emotional needs of patients
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of recent acute care experience in labor and delivery or a related specialty
- Active RN license in good standing
