Novice Nurse - LPN/LVN Job Description

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a Novice Nurse - LPN/LVN to join our team. As a Novice Nurse, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a home setting, working one-on-one with patients and developing your skills in direct patient care, vent/trach/g-tube management, and critical thinking.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or contracted services
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor and document effectiveness of intervention and progress toward established goals
  • Intervene as applicable to changes in condition and report such changes to appropriate supervisor and/or physician
  • Document all physician collaboration/coordination of care in the medical record and communicate this information as needed
  • Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment, including universal precautions
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Active LPN/LVN License
  • Current CPR
  • PPD or chest X-Ray if applicable
