THE ROLE:
As an AI Engineering Program Lead at AMD, you will be responsible for the comprehensive delivery of advanced AI/ML architectures integrated into AMD products.

Your role will involve investigating hardware solutions to tackle real-world issues and collaborating with product management, customers, and both software and hardware engineering teams within a rapidly growing division.

Moreover, you will gain insights into cutting-edge AI/ML architectures across various domains, including Computer Vision, Large Language Models, and Recommender Systems.


THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, enthusiastic, and quick-learning individual with a passion for emerging technologies. A results-oriented and adaptable problem-solver, they will excel in a dynamic environment, effectively managing ambiguity and change.

With a strong engineering background and proven success in silicon design delivery, the successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, engaging with stakeholders at all levels—from facilitating technical discussions to leading executive program reviews.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


- Collaborate with AI/ML Architects and hardware/software developers to analyze AI workloads and optimize their mapping to AI accelerators.

- Work alongside cross-functional teams to assess performance gaps and enhance various components of the AI software stack, including kernels, compilers, frameworks, device drivers, and firmware.

- Drive projections, analyses, and optimizations of architecture performance and power efficiency across multiple dynamic AI silicon development initiatives.

- Investigate technical aspects of the program and manage details within the silicon validation process, addressing system bottlenecks and power-performance trade-offs.

- Participate in the creation of project plans and schedules; develop and refine processes for tracking projects and mitigating risks.

- Prepare and present project status updates and reviews to internal stakeholders and executive audiences.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Familiarity with post-silicon validation processes and software frameworks.

- Knowledge of platform system performance analysis and power measurement.

- Excellent presentation and leadership abilities, capable of steering technical discussions.

- Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.

- Experience leading complex, interrelated projects and programs.

- A dedicated team player, committed to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Excel, and MS Office.

- Understanding of AI/ML technologies and operating systems is advantageous.

- Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams.


ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering.
