Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Rental Associate to join our team at Vail Resorts. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for generating sales through exceptional guest service, assisting customers with rental equipment, and providing our guests with gear and services for the ultimate outdoor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional guest service at one of our retail shops, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for our customers.
  • Fit guests with equipment, utilizing your knowledge and expertise to ensure the right gear for the job.
  • Explain to guests how to operate rental equipment, safety practices, and guest responsibility for the equipment during the rental, including length of rental and return options.
  • Work together with teammates to maintain safety standards and ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • May include other duties such as cashiering, retail sales, and supporting various departments within the resort.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service and a passion for delivering a world-class experience.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of products and trends within the industry.
  • Ability to stand and move in an active, team-oriented environment for extended periods.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

A Rental Associate team member is a flexible employee who often works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one resort mentality, which could include:

  • Mountain Activities
  • Retail Rental operations
  • Food and Beverage Support
  • Ticket sales or scanning
  • Lift Operations
  • Base Area Operations

The expected pay range for this position is $20.00 per hour. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
