Telecommunications Field Technician

Job Summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Company, LLC is seeking a qualified Lineman I Telecom to join our team. As a Lineman I Telecom, you will install and repair aerial telecommunications fiber and copper cables.

Key Responsibilities

• Aerial Cable Installation: Safely install and repair aerial telecommunications fiber and copper cables.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derrick, excavators, and more.
• Traffic Direction: Direct traffic flow in accordance with local DOT guidelines.
• Climbing and Aloft Work: Safely work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Location and Travel: Work in multiple locations and travel to various sites.
• Safety and Maintenance: Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.

Requirements

• Age and Authorization: Be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years' driving experience.
• Construction Experience: Have previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
• Aerial Cable Knowledge: Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques.
• Physical Abilities: Ability to climb telephone poles, work in a bucket truck, and work aloft up to 40 feet.
• Other Requirements: Ability to perform all duties in telecommunications construction, including pole transfers, maintenance builds, new builds, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction.
• Additional Qualifications: Class A CDL license (if applicable).
