Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer Echo Lab Specialist to join our team at Next Move Healthcare. As a key member of our echocardiography lab, you will be responsible for performing complex cardiac ultrasound procedures, interpreting results, and collaborating with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures using various equipment and techniques.
  • Identify and define cardiac abnormalities, extending the scope of the examination as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians in procedure rooms and operating rooms to aid in complex procedures.
  • Assist in performing transesophageal studies with cardiologists, calculating measurements and sterilizing probes.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, obtaining clinical history and adjusting imaging techniques for comprehensive and diagnostic echocardiograms.
  • Record statistics and perform daily maintenance of the Echocardiography Lab and its equipment.
  • Act as a resource for staff, physicians, and students regarding equipment, techniques, procedures, and studies.
  • Work closely with the cardiac sonographer quality coordinator to ensure quality processes and protocols are adhered to.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • Less than 1 year of experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 30 days of hire or transfer.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification within 6 months of hire/transfer.
