Job Description

Job Title: Drafter

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team at B & G Industries Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed drawings for utility bodies using specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize computer-aided drafting (CAD) and Solid works software to create full-scale and detailed designs of utility bodies.
  • Organize structural, electrical, and mechanical designs.
  • Draw plans for utility boxes based on vendor specifications.
  • Determine the types of materials needed and calculate the quantity to be ordered.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of software and drafting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. at times.
