Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Plant Manager to join our team at Divert. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this key role plays a critical part in ensuring a safe working environment and driving operational excellence at our industrial food waste processing facility in Plymouth, IN. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of plant operations, including safety compliance, personnel management, maintenance, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe working environment and maintain compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Directly manage, hire, and train Operators and Maintenance personnel, driving individual and team success.
  • Oversee maintenance and reliability of machinery to optimize operational efficiency and uptime.
  • Develop, implement, and report against financial and non-financial objectives, including annual budget, financial forecasts, and key performance indicators.
  • Inspect plant operations and initiate remedial actions as necessary.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a willingness to roll up sleeves and contribute to the team's success.
  • Collaborate with the in-house Engineering team to drive continuous improvement and reliability.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, customer agreements, quality specifications, sanitation practices, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, including hiring and people management.
  • 5+ years of experience in continuous (24/7) industrial processing operations.
  • Proven track record of leading production/processing systems.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, asking thoughtful questions, making balanced assessments, and smart decisions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a professional presence.
  • Ability to lead through influence and empower team members.
