Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at the U.S. Marine Corps. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals for our personnel and guests.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a range of menu items, including hot cereals, broiled meats, and soups
  • Prepare convenience items and cold sandwich fillings
  • Maintain accurate food inventories and rotate stock items to prevent spoilage
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for our patrons
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of food preparation methods and procedures
  • Ability to read and understand written food service material
  • Basic arithmetic skills to calculate ingredient quantities and serving sizes
  • Knowledge of sanitation principles and safety protocols
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with exposure to steam, fumes, and extreme temperatures. You must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45 pounds independently and objects over 45 pounds with assistance.
