Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Laboratory Technician to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, blood banking, and microbiology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, blood banking, and microbiology
- Collect and process laboratory samples
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory results
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities
Requirements:
- Citizenship: All Aspen Medical staff must be US citizens or Green Card holders
- Education: Successful completion of a full-time training course in a medical or clinical laboratory assistant program, or an associate degree course of study with a year's duration in a certified laboratory assistant school
- Certification: Current, valid certification from American Medical Technologist (AMT) or American Society of Clinical Pathology – Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT)
- License or Registration: Current, valid, and unrestricted license or registration from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
- Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of recent, relevant, related experience
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Haitian Creole and/or French is highly desired
