Job Summary

The Delivery Driver is a critical role at Palmer Trucks, responsible for supporting sales efforts and delivering products to and from customers. This position requires a high level of customer service, effective communication, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct weekly vehicle maintenance checks to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Maintain assigned vehicles' cleanliness and adhere to company policy.
  • Perform accurate order picking and packaging to meet customer requests.
  • Communicate order accuracy to sales personnel and customers.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes while maintaining positive customer expectations.
  • Ensure all orders are delivered safely and accurately to customers.
  • Act as an extension of the organization, promoting goods and services while building customer relationships.
  • Collect and document payment for all delivered orders.
  • Assist with stocking, pulling, and other business errands as needed.
  • Assist with answering phones when needed.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Valid operator's license.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read and understand directions, including road signs.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to recognize and logically validate numbers in sequence.
  • Ability to verbally communicate and write effectively.
  • Able to work primarily outdoors and full-time.
