Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Pacific NW Smiles. As a valued member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive top-notch care from the moment they walk in.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating treatment, assisting the dentist chairside with all procedures, and providing exceptional customer service. You will also be responsible for preparing patients for dental procedures, taking dental radiographs, and properly sterilizing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for dental procedures by taking blood pressure, medical histories, and ensuring comfort.
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments.
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
  • Properly sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Educate patients on recommended care and post-operative care.
  • Manage appointment schedules, patient records, and billing processes efficiently.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficient in dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on patient care.
