Job Description:

An opportunity exists for a skilled Polysomnographic Technician Lead to join our team at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. This advanced level position involves leading and mentoring other technologists, performing comprehensive sleep testing analysis, and ensuring a work environment that encourages retention and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise nightly activities and technical aspects of the Sleep Medicine Center
  • Assist in hiring technologists for the Sleep Medicine Center
  • Maintain a work environment that encourages retention, development of the team, customer service, and family-centered care
  • Facilitate problem identification, avoidance, and resolution
  • Review and evaluate sleep studies and provide feedback to staff
  • Monitor employees' understanding and adherence to Lurie Children's policies and protocols
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • RPSGT credential required
  • Two years of college or equivalents preferred, or 6-7 years of experience performing polysomnography is preferred
  • Current CPR or BLS certification through American Heart Association required
  • Demonstrated effective written and spoken communication skills
