Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on individuals, corporate entities, and issues from a wide range of open sources, including media reports, criminal and civil proceedings, and regulatory filings.
  • Utilize online databases to collect relevant public records, such as property documents and legal pleadings.
  • Identify and analyze specialized industry information resources, including campaign finance data and drilling records.
  • Conduct research to identify potential human sources and witnesses, and perform phone and in-person interviews with guidance from senior personnel.
  • Produce high-quality and detailed reports.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in journalism, intelligence, investigations, or related fields, with a proven track record of conducting complex research with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to contextualize complex topics with attention to detail and precision.
  • Proficiency in conducting advanced Internet-based research, including familiarity with social media and deep web searches.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications.
