POSITION SUMMARY
The Ladders is in search of a proactive and strategic Senior Vice President of Franchise Expansion to lead the growth and development of our franchise network. This role will focus on new unit openings, internal resales, and effective real estate strategies. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history in franchise growth, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a strong passion for health and fitness. This position requires the ability to inspire a high-achieving sales team while ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and core values.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Franchise Growth Strategy:
- Formulate and implement strategies to attract and secure new franchise partners in key markets, both nationally and internationally.
- Supervise the creation of high-quality franchise leads through diverse channels, including marketing campaigns, networking opportunities, events, and strategic alliances.
- Guide the franchise sales process from lead generation to closure, ensuring compliance with company standards and objectives.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance the onboarding experience for new franchise partners.
- Lead the real estate team in identifying prime locations for new franchise territories.
- Evaluate market trends and demographics to inform real estate decisions and optimize profitability.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve franchise development objectives.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence within the sales division.
- Establish clear sales goals and provide continuous performance feedback and coaching.
- Ensure all franchise development efforts align with The Ladders' mission, values, and brand identity.
- Maintain the company's dedication to inclusivity, diversity, and community involvement in all franchise development activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 7-10 years of experience in franchise development, ideally within the fitness or retail sectors.
- Proven success in expanding franchise networks and achieving growth targets.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Knowledge of franchise regulations, laws, and best practices.
- Demonstrated success in franchise or high-value sales.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build rapport, establish credibility, and foster long-term relationships.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with the fitness industry and franchising landscape is advantageous.
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and quality-conscious with a reputation for excellent follow-through.
- Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for industry events and franchisee engagements.
