Position Overview:
This role requires a Certified Level 2 inspector with a comprehensive understanding of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methodologies, client specifications, operational guidelines, and inspection techniques. Success in this position hinges on the ability to effectively execute essential responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Successfully complete general, specific, and practical assessments as outlined in NAS410.
- Pass an annual eye examination in accordance with NAS410 standards.
- Conduct, maintain, and document scheduled NDT process control evaluations.
- Process and assess customer products following specified requirements.
- Interpret inspection outcomes against customer acceptance standards and document any non-conformances identified.
- Supervise and mentor trainees pursuing certification, as directed by the Responsible NDT Level 3.
Qualifications:
- Must possess documented formal training as certified to NAS410 in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT) and Fluorescent Penetrant (PT) Level 2.
- Ability to pass an annual eye exam as per NAS410 requirements.
- Previous employment records and examination documentation are preferred.
- A minimum of two years' experience as a Level 2 inspector (NAS 410 certification) in Magnetic Particle and/or Fluorescent Penetrant testing.
- Proficient in reading and writing in English.
- Capable of analyzing and interpreting operational instructions, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Skilled in effectively presenting and documenting non-conformances and findings on relevant forms.
- A high school diploma or GED is mandatory. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for training through in-house programs if approved by management.
