Ambulatory Clinic Healthcare Professional

Job Summary
The Ambulatory Clinic Healthcare Professional is responsible for facilitating the efficient flow of patients through the healthcare setting. This involves preparing patients for visits, performing limited procedures, and scheduling diagnostic tests or consults.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling radiology tests and obtaining films and reports
- Preparing laboratory specimens according to policy
- Assisting physicians and/or nurses with special procedures and examinations
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care
- Maintaining medical records and ensuring all required documentation is available
- Performing clerical duties such as greeting patients, registration, and scheduling
- Entering ambulatory care charges
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent
- Enrolled in an accredited school of nursing or have completed fundamentals OR Bachelor's Degree in a Health Care or Science related field OR 3 years of inpatient/rehab/LTC experience under the direction of a RN
