As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Pediatrics department, you will provide direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced office/clinic setting. You will work under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse and/or physician, communicating effectively with the care team to ensure seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Current licensure as an LPN in the state of Oklahoma.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Previous experience in a physician practice setting, preferably in pediatrics.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials.
- Ability to lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, and deal with stressful situations.
