Job Summary

A Radiologic Technologist, Staff is a skilled professional responsible for providing diagnostic patient care services using ionizing radiation and related diagnostic procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in radiologic technology, with the ability to perform radiographic examinations, electrocardiography (EKG), pacemaker checks, and holter monitoring examinations as ordered by attending physicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic examinations, EKG, pacemaker checks, and holter monitoring examinations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Prepare requisitions and patient histories, including study performed, number of views, physician, and insurance information.
  • Coordinate with other staff to ensure appropriate patient care is provided.
  • Address problems of patient care as they arise and make decisions to resolve them.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and vehicles in proper working order.
  • Report equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a formal Radiologic Technology Program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in the specialty(ies).
  • Active licensure with the individual state Department of Health if required by law.
  • Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies).
