Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social services programs that promote resident well-being
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, including mental health professionals and support staff
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Oversee the implementation of treatment programs and ensure quality care
  • Coordinate referrals to external services and develop partnerships with community organizations
  • Design and deliver educational in-services to enhance staff knowledge and skills
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to treatment personnel
  • Conduct assessments and develop Performance Improvement Project (PIP) tools to enhance care delivery

Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts Qualifications:

  • Must meet the definition of a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts as defined by the Illinois Mental Health Code (LCSW, LCPC, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, PMHNP, LMFT, etc.)
  • At least two years of experience in direct care of individuals with psychiatric disorders
  • Three years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and delegate effectively
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
