The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Parkland. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately transacting sales of fuel and merchandise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide top-quality customer service at all times.
  • Comply with company standards on carding customers for all age-restricted products.
  • Prepare food and drinks, clean, stock, and maintain the food prep area in compliance with health codes.
  • Adhere to daily operating procedures to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, and organized.
  • Prepare shift-change reports and balance the cash register.
  • Follow all Parkland policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous experience in a convenience store, restaurant, or retail environment.
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work unaccompanied, standing, and without defined break periods.
  • Ability to work in varying outdoor climates and in-store cooler environments.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Positive, outgoing personality.
  • Cash-handling experience is a definite asset.
