Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Joint Replacement Unit at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. Job Summary:We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care setting to join our Joint Replacement Unit. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients and develop individualized plans of care
- Support and empower patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum
- Advocate for patients' rights and provide counsel while acting as a resource to resolve issues
- Anticipate and address the ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and families
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve desired outcomes and contribute to performance improvement initiatives
- One year minimum of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associates Degree with a commitment to obtain BSN within five years of employment
- BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required through the American Heart Association
- RN license or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN
- Proficient in English, strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills required
