Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Distribution Operator 4 to join our team at The AMES Companies, Inc. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of inbound and outbound shipments, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update hand-held terminals to ensure accurate data entry and timely updates
  • Prepare and process shipping and receiving documents with precision and efficiency
  • Schedule appointments with carriers and document any discrepancies
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent recommended
  • Strong computer skills and ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills for internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds continuously throughout the shift
