Florida Cancer Affiliates is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Management: Prepare and dispense medication orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with department guidelines and OSHA regulations.
- Patient Counseling: Provide comprehensive drug counseling to patients, addressing preexisting conditions, medication compatibility, and potential side effects.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance and safety initiatives, monitoring compliance with legal regulations and accreditation standards.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records of medications and patient assistance programs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with nursing and medical staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and state licensure.
- Experience: Minimum three years' experience as a registered pharmacist, with a preference for oncology background and IV skills.
- License: Current license as a Pharmacist in the state of practice.
