Position Summary

The Grounds Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the upkeep of the organization's landscaped areas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing various outdoor property maintenance tasks
  • Snow removal and equipment operation
  • Basic tree trimming and landscaping duties
  • Assisting with interior maintenance and construction tasks
  • Maintaining and repairing sprinkler systems
  • Conducting parking lot repairs
  • Supporting assessments of grounds and minor electrical work

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Experience operating equipment for snow removal and landscaping
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as light and heavy machinery
  • Ability to work at heights using lifts and ladders
  • Knowledge in mechanics, plumbing, painting, electronics, masonry, carpentry, welding, and landscape technology
  • Willingness to learn additional maintenance tasks as needed

Education and Experience

A background in landscaping, horticulture, forestry, or park management is preferred. A minimum of six months of experience with lawn care equipment is desirable. Candidates may need to obtain applicable state licenses or certifications based on location.
