Key Responsibilities- Implement Nutrition Care Plans: Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for patients, taking into account their medical history, dietary needs, and treatment goals.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Conduct Nutrition Assessments: Conduct thorough nutrition assessments to identify patients at risk for malnutrition and develop strategies to prevent and treat malnutrition.
- Provide Education and Support: Educate patients and their families on healthy eating habits, nutrition, and disease management.
- Monitor and Evaluate Patient Progress: Regularly monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to nutrition care plans as needed.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited education program in dietetics or a related field.
- Experience: Completion of a dietetic internship accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Certifications: Registered Dietitian (RD) and/or License Dietitian (LD) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
