Personal Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide personal care and assistance to patients in their homes, under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other healthcare professional.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. This includes helping patients with mobility issues to get in and out of bed or a wheelchair, as well as providing assistance with exercises or physical therapy.
- Remind patients to take their medication as directed by a healthcare professional. This may include helping patients to organize their medication and setting reminders for them to take it.
- Monitor patients' overall health and report any changes to the healthcare team. This includes checking patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, as well as monitoring patients for signs of distress or discomfort.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation. This may involve cleaning and tidying up patients' homes, as well as preparing meals and snacks for patients according to their dietary needs.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients. This may involve engaging in conversation with patients, reading to them, or engaging in other activities that help to improve their quality of life.
- Current certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA). This certification should be from an accredited program and should be current and in good standing.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. CHHAs may be required to travel to different patients' homes throughout the day, so it is essential that they have reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. CHHAs should be able to communicate effectively with patients and their families, as well as with other healthcare professionals on the care team.
- Ability to work independently and follow directions. CHHAs should be able to work independently while still following the care plan established by the healthcare team.
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for the job. This may include assisting patients with mobility issues or performing light housekeeping tasks.
- A competitive salary range of $40,000-$50,000 per year, depending on experience.
