Job Opportunity: Food Server

We are seeking a skilled and friendly individual to join our team as a food server at Hotel Indigo Waco-Baylor. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be punctual and responsible, and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

About the Job:

This role involves participating in pre-shift meetings to gain a thorough understanding of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials. You will also welcome customers upon arrival, promptly seat them, take food and beverage orders, serve meals, and meet any special requirements or requests.

Responsibilities:
  • Take payment from guests and ensure accuracy of the guest check and method of payment
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to respond to client questions and provide recommendations
  • Complete restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in food service is preferred
  • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
Compensation:

$2.13 hourly + tips
