About the Role:As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing direct nursing care to our residents, supervising and coordinating activities, and ensuring a high degree of quality care is maintained. You will also be responsible for admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, keeping physician and/or other health care professionals informed of changes in resident conditions.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Supervise and coordinate activities performed by Resident Care Assistants (RCAs) to ensure quality care is maintained.
- Responsible for admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, ensuring a smooth transition process.
- Keep physician and/or other health care professionals informed of changes in resident conditions, including medication changes, medical issues, and behavioral concerns.
- Perform specific clinical skills necessary for nursing care, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and medication administration.
- Participate in the documentation of nursing care, ensuring accurate and timely records.
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
- LPN license in Ohio.
- Recent clinical experience, education, and specialty skills specific to geriatrics.
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must enjoy working with the senior population.
