Advantage Tech is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join their team in a 3rd Shift position in Lenexa, KS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and industrial equipment repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems, including megging motors and wire feeds, troubleshooting controls and tripped breakers, installing and wiring up starters, and installing and wiring up breakers.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of motor controls and be able to troubleshoot and repair in a timely fashion without calling for help.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Medium Voltage (between 1000volts - 35,000volts) and be able to perform medium voltage splicing as well as troubleshoot gear and test medium voltage in a timely and safe manner.
  • Be comfortable navigating an underground mine as well as working around heavy industrial machinery, vehicles, and all other equipment.
  • Be aware that the environment is dirty, dusty, and in a heavy industrial setting.
  • Be comfortable working alongside operational (moving) conveyor belts as well as being proficient in a lift working from an elevated platform in a timely and safe manner.
  • Install all forms of electrical applications in a timely, safe, and workmanlike manner. Lock out tag out, PPE, and other safety procedures will be expected to be followed to the T.
  • Be proficient with using a laptop on site as well as being prepared to be called in for unscheduled emergency work.
  • Drive company vehicles and maintain them to ensure the reliability of the vehicle.
  • Fill out work orders on a daily basis as well as our JHA's for safety.
