Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Expanded Duties Dental Assistant to join our team. As an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in the provision of effective and trustworthy dental services, ensuring patient comfort, and educating patients on dental procedures. You will also manage clinical supplies, work efficiently to maintain the supported dentists' schedule, and adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies.

Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain lab equipment, take and develop X-rays, and provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures to patients.
  • Assist the dentist in managing dental emergencies and improve your clinical skills and acumen through participation in continuing education and training opportunities offered by Heartland Dental.
  • Take and record medical and dental histories and patient vital signs, and build rapport with patients to ensure a positive and supportive experience.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years in an EDDA capacity with experience in various endo, perio, restorative, and cosmetic procedures.
  • Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology, excellent patient care skills, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients, good manual dexterity, and computer proficiency.
  • Dental assisting school certificate and previous work experience in a dental practice are a plus.
