Clinical Nurse Specialist Fellow

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist Fellow to join our team at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a CNS Fellow, you will provide expert population-based, family-centered clinical care and consultation to improve outcomes and promote integrated healthcare.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the care of complex and/or vulnerable populations through expert direct care, care coordination, and collaboration with patients and families and other members of the healthcare team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety by being knowledgeable about evidence and best practices for safety, speaking up about safety issues, and changing practice to enhance safety.
- Support other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals, through collaborative clinical practice, education, research/evidence-based practice, and consultation.
- Act as a preceptor and mentor to support the development of nurses, students, and other healthcare providers.
- Facilitate change and innovation for patients/populations within the department, the healthcare system, and the community.
- Analyze and utilize data, including patient satisfaction data, QI data, other data relevant to specialty populations, and incident report/safety net data, to identify opportunities for improvement and develop a plan of action to improve outcomes.
- Master's degree enrollment in Clinical Nurse Specialist graduate program required.
- Effective oral, written, and presentational skills in English.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work across systems and influence change.
- Ability to coordinate individuals and groups to develop, implement, and evaluate projects.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Computer competency, including basic use of a computer, Microsoft Office, and patient-facing technology.
- Information literacy, including the ability to determine the nature and extent of clinical information needed and use the appropriate technology to access it.
- Information management literacy, including navigation of the electronic health record system, ability to locate and review specific patient data, and effectively use clinical decision support tools.
