Roanoke College is seeking a dedicated Coffee Specialist to enhance our vibrant café environment. The Coffee Specialist will be tasked with delivering exceptional customer service while expertly crafting and serving a variety of specialty beverages.

• Deliver outstanding customer service to all patrons, addressing inquiries and fulfilling order requests.
• Adhere to the established beverage preparation protocols set forth by the organization.
• Efficiently prepare and serve coffee drinks, specialty beverages, and food items with precision and speed.
• Process customer payments and provide change as necessary.
• Maintain an accurate cash register and complete all cash-handling responsibilities.

• Exceptional customer service abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in working swiftly to meet customer needs.

• Prior experience in a coffee shop or barista position.
• Familiarity with specialty coffees and teas.
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Food Safety Certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Quickness and efficiency in drink preparation and service.

This position offers a full-time commitment for 9 months, aligning with the academic calendar.
