Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site studies to evaluate damages to building materials or components for residential and commercial structures, including roof systems, foundations, water intrusion, cladding elements, construction defects, and complete structural systems.
- Provide expert testimony or depositions as needed on projects to which you have been assigned.
- Proactively pursue additional training, mentoring opportunities, licenses, education, and/or certifications to enhance your skills and expertise.
- Travel may be required for assigned work outside of your home region, as well as daily and overnight in-region travel for facilitating investigations.
Requirements:
- BS Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, etc...)
- 2-3 years of experience in failure analysis, forensic or structural inspection, knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction, building codes, design, or related experience.
- Strong technical writing abilities with experience using Microsoft Word.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc...).
