Job Title: Land Surveyor - SIT Position

Horizons Engineering Inc. is a reputable midsize Civil and Structural Engineering, Environmental services and Land Surveying firm, that proudly serves New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont with expertise and dedication. With eight office locations strategically located across the region, we are deeply rooted in our communities and committed to delivering innovative solutions to our clients.

We have an immediate opening for a Land Surveyor - SIT to support our growing team. You will be working with a dedicated and diverse group of civil engineers, geologists, and other surveyors on a variety of residential, commercial, resort, institutional, and energy projects reporting to our Ossipee, NH office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take field measurements and stakeout of survey projects in Horizons' areas of operation;
  • Boundary surveying, topographical construction surveying/stakeout, Right-of-way surveying, engineering surveys, land records research, and any other associated tasks with land surveying;
  • Operation of various survey equipment.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate and Associates Degree or 2 years experience preferred;
  • Must have NH SIT Certification or actively working toward obtaining NH licensure;
  • 0-3 years of professional experience in the practice of land surveying in northern New England or a similar setting preferred;
  • Experience with AutoCAD design software including Civil3D a plus;
  • Strong technical skills;
  • Ability to complete field work including carrying equipment, cutting traverse lines, and walking undeveloped sites.
