Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Environmental Geologist or Scientist to enhance our team. This role is based in our Great Falls, Montana office and is ideal for those looking to advance their careers while collaborating with experienced professionals. From day one, you will engage in project work, partnering with engineers, technical specialists, and scientists to address environmental challenges. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fieldwork, including the collection of soil, groundwater, and other environmental samples to support site investigations and remediation efforts.
  • Install monitoring wells, oversee remediation monitoring, and manage contractor activities.
  • Assist in field investigations and provide oversight during construction, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and thorough documentation.
  • Contribute to the preparation of regulatory submissions, technical memoranda, and engineering design reports.
  • Analyze and interpret data for reports and visual representations, including maps and charts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Experience in construction environments and familiarity with CERCLA regulations is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in software applications such as Word, Excel, ArcGIS, and CAD.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL is a plus.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is beneficial, but training will be provided.

Compensation and Benefits:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
